Wonderful news for those who could not wait any longer for the new edition of the Spanish Riding School! A new sequel of that exceptional and exclusive book has been released! That surely excites not only those who have read and the first volume but also all those who have an interest in horsemanship in this Iberian edition.

This time, the main focus is on practice (which makes perfect, right?). In the second volumeof SRS one can find some extremely useful tips on a wide range of topics familiar to all riders: starting with nuances of perfect seat, going through precise equestrian equipments, and finishing on daily work on a horse through the most difficult elements of dressage. All presented from the Spanish perspective. However, it is not another usual horse riding manual, rather an elegant, solicitously polished up and published album full of artistic shots and pictures of the most beautiful Spanish horses, a real feast for the eyes! The book’s cover is decorated by a manually glued, intricately precise and sophisticated golden frame making it an alluring ornament for a home bookcase.

Volume II of SRS will allow its readers to feel as though they were on a training course with a professor from the Royal School of Horse Riding in Jerez. Both beginners as well as more advanced riders will find here answers to many questions, valuable tips, proven methods of working with horses and a sea of inspiration flowing straight from the spring of the Spanish School. How to communicate with a horse to be understood? How to practice to improve one’s riding technique? When to introduce particular elements and what to do when not everything goes as we wanted? Why can’t Spaniards imagine working with horses without a lunge line, and where do they draw their attention to during warm ups? Where does the secret to a successful flying change lie? How to add more expression to a passage? And last but not least, how to teach a horse to dance, doing a correct piaffe?

These are only some of the issues tackled in this volume, which is the fruit of many years ofwork with horses and arduous obtainment of knowledge and skills from the best Spanish riding masters. The author brings us a bit deeper into the colourful world of horse riding, revealing secrets of the greatest Andalusian horsemen. There is an assumption that achieving success in Arte Ecuestre- undoubtedly difficult and demanding a lot of systematic work- but it is totally possible! Every horse can move collectively and acquire elements like side walk, pirouette, flying changes of legs and finally piaffe and passage, as long as we find the correct key to success with the animal.
